Despite front discs and only rear drums, the basic Pulsar still has Nissan's trademark sharp, precise brake pedal bite. Better than a Toyota Corolla because it's fully imported. The test car had good paint finish and tight, even panel gaps, which bodes well for a sturdy future and good resale value.

    COST Here's the tricky part. If you're not convinced the Pulsar is the best buy, take a similarly priced Korean car for a drive, compare the list of standard features, and you soon will be.
